Describe your career history at MMB:

I started my career at MMB on 01.01.2012 as a new member of what was then still a small team. My tasks generally consisted of building control cabinets and wiring our systems. Year after year, my area of responsibility expanded. Initially by setting up the systems at the customer's premises, then quickly followed by commissioning and on-site staff training.

Given the opportunity, I worked my way into system programming in 2015 and then into operating industrial robots.

From mid-2019, my area of responsibility was increasingly expanded to include the procurement of electrical parts, project implementation and quality assurance. This quickly developed into a full-time job, which was consolidated in the position of team leader of the electrical team at the beginning of 2023.

How did you find out about MMB back then?

Thanks to my good relationships with various large automotive suppliers, including the one I previously worked for and where I completed my apprenticeship, I had come across MMB's systems several times before.

My former foreman put me in touch with Heinz Niemann and Christian Nilessen, who, after a very positive first contact, asked me if I would like to join them.

An opportunity for which I am very grateful and which I have never regretted!

Why did you decide to work in this industry?

As I completed my apprenticeship in a special machine construction company and have always been fascinated by technology and the possibility of creating part of the future, I have found my dream job here.

What excites you about your job?

The opportunity to develop myself, to face new, interesting and demanding challenges every day and to be able to overcome them, is what constantly drives me. There is also the team spirit, which provides new motivation every day, even when it's Monday again.

What future plans do you have for your career?

I am currently striving to build a stable and successful team in my new position that will overcome every hurdle in the long term.

For me personally, I am planning my own training in the area of Industry 4.0 - I am very interested in networking and digital expansion.

I hope to be well equipped for the future with these resources.

Describe your career history at MMB:

During my mechanical engineering studies, I completed my internship semester at MMB. During this internship semester, I was able to gain extensive insights into the individual departments and areas of responsibility. After completing my internship, I was employed as a working student. During my time as a working student, my main focus was on additive manufacturing. Shortly before I finished my studies, I was taken on as a part-time employee. At this point, it was already agreed that the successful completion of the studies would be followed by a full-time position. Since being taken on as a permanent employee, I have been working in the areas of design and additive manufacturing.

How did you find out about MMB back then?

My studies sparked my interest in the field of additive manufacturing. A fellow student reported on his positive experiences at MMB. The positive experience report from my fellow student and the fact that MMB is already active in the field of additive manufacturing aroused my interest in the company.

In my view, special machine construction is an exciting industry, as every project is unique. This means you are faced with new challenges every time.

What excites you about your job?

Due to the individual projects, there are few standardized tasks and routines. It's inspiring how we're constantly being pushed and confronted with new opportunities for growth. Each project requires individual processing in close coordination with customers and colleagues.

What future plans do you have for your career?

Further expansion and consolidation of my knowledge in the field of design and additive manufacturing. In general, all development opportunities are open at MMB if you perform well. Accordingly, I am also looking forward to every development opportunity that is offered to me.
